The WebSummit was an incredible event. Three days of active communication with the smartest and friendliest people who came to Lisbon from all over the world. The opportunity to speak at the most important tech conference in the world, to play in the big league of venture entrepreneurship. The Veeeet team gained unique experiences and new ideas, and significantly expanded its network of contacts. Thank you, Fred Joye, Ginette Oebel, Antón García, Claude Waddington, Jean-David ROMBI, Sergio Hinchado Leal, José María Torrego and many others who came to our booth and listened to my talk at the Startup Showcase.

Carbon footprint reduction
Carbon footprint reduction and a mobile app for animal health. The idea of finding a connection between them was a bit unexpected for me. And the answer was even more unexpected.
Veeeet is looking for hashtag#preseed investment. I interact with a lot of funds, accelerators and hashtag#angelinvestors on a daily basis. And it’s great that during the communication process, questions arise that allow us to look at our startup from an unexpected point of view. How does Veeeet contribute to a sustainable economy? How do we contribute to reducing the carbon footprint? Let’s try to find out.
One of the most important benefits of Veeeet is that our mobile app helps pets and their parents lead a healthy lifestyle. And if you stay healthy, you and your pet will need to visit the doctor less often. This logic was the basis for evaluating Veeeet’s contribution to reducing the carbon footprint.
There are only about one billion pets in the world. Adult pets visit the vet once a year on average, and babies and veterans visit the vet much more often. It can be roughly estimated that if Veeeet reaches global acceptance, the number of veterinary visits for pets will be reduced by 500 million per year.
What is a vet visit? Most likely, you will drive your pet to the vet. It is unlikely that the vet clinic is very close. Let’s say the road there and back is 5 kilometers. By averaging data from different sources, the greenhouse gas emissions per kilometer can be estimated at 120 grams.
So, a rough estimate of Veeeet’s potential contribution to a sustainable economy (did I mention enough that this is a very rough number?) is a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by (500,000,000 * 5 * 120) / 1,000,000 = 300,000 tons per year.
I did not expect the result to be that significant. It is a very, very impressive number. Now we have another important incentive to make Veeeet a success.

BioExpert Network
We are proud to announce that Veeeet has become one of the experts of the BioExpert Network (BEN) (Barcelona). For us, this is a recognition of the high level of competence of the founders, our desire to contribute to the development of the industry and the protection of the health of pets.
The BioExpert Network is a community of experts in multiple disciplines that help biotech start-ups and early-stage life-science companies develop their business by evaluating their R&D proposals.

This App Makes Vet Visits Stress-Free for Pet Owners – Veeeet Startup Review
Feedough is a startup communication platform that is among the top 20 in the world. They recently published a big article about Veeeet and an interview with Vadim Gusakov. He is one of the founders of Veeeet and deals with mobile app development and business development.
We are grateful to Aashish Pahwa for giving us the opportunity to talk about our ideas.
For all of us — the founders of Veeeet, our friends and loved ones — pets are an important part of life, members of the family. That is why we strive to create a product that is really necessary and useful for pet parents. We use our experience and knowledge to make Veeeet even better.

Southern European Startup Awards
We’re super excited to announce that we’ve been nominated nominated in the category HEALTHTECH STARTUP OF THE YEAR in Spain for the Southern European Startup Awards Edition 11! We are in good company. 16 finalists of this competition have become unicorns. We are sure that Veeeet has what it takes to increase this number.
It’s been a little over a year since Enisa | Empresa Nacional de Innovación approved our startup. During this time, we have developed an MVP, expanded our network of contacts with professionals in the pet products and services market, and participated in WebSummit 2024.
And now we are representing Spain in such an important event as the Southern European Startup Awards. We are grateful for this recognition of the merits of the Veeeet team and we will do our best to continue developing!

Veeeet investment readiness
Attracting investment takes time. And time is a startup’s most important resource. You always want to improve the MVP a little bit more. So when to start raising money is a very important question. DropBox raised its first money without even having a working prototype, just for the idea. A good example of success or a good example of survivorship bias?
The problem is that in most cases, the opinion of the founders is going to be biased. We love our project too much to evaluate it objectively. That is why an independent outside opinion is important.
Veeeet tested several online tools to assess the investment readiness of a startup. Focused For Business turned out to be the most useful for us. Its advantages are attention to detail and online seminars where you can communicate online with other startups that are also attracting investment. I would like to thank Hatty Fawcett, the host of this seminar.
Veeeet’s final score on the investment readiness test is 75%. Quite a high number. And the Soft Launch, for which we are now actively preparing, will help to improve it.

A questionnaire system for pet parents
The best way to keep customers in the mobile app is to give them maximum value. We know that the best way to protect your pet’s health is through prevention. Diseases caught early are easier to treat. How do we combine these ideas in Veeeet? We have been focusing on this task for the last month (spoiler — it all worked out).
We have developed a questionnaire system for pet parents that allows you to assess the main health parameters — general condition, musculoskeletal system, digestion, stress level — a total of 8 basic questionnaires. The questionnaires are based on more than 20 years of veterinary experience of the Veeeet team. Thank you Mariia Orlova and Pavel Orlov!
It is important that the results of the questionnaires are saved in the application: the doctor will be able to see the dynamics of changes in your pet’s health. This is very important information for correct diagnosis.
In addition, the next step is to use the questionnaire data to train artificial intelligence, which will provide a deeper and more comprehensive analysis of health data. It is also important to note that the questionnaires are a unique feature of Veeeet, and in combination with the digital twin, they provide a significant synergy effect.
For pet parents, completing surveys on a regular basis means your pet is getting the best care you can offer, and you are being the best parent you can be to your pet!
